Owner and Director of The Olive Tree Brasserie goes vegan and encourages others to do the same.
Local restaurateur Dean Wilson made the swift transition into eating vegan food almost two years ago. Having always been an animal lover, his awareness and interest in going vegan spiked after becoming increasingly aware of the benefits of going vegan. Benefits that he feels have boosted both his health and that of the planet.
In January 2022, aptly named ‘Veganuary’ he encouraged others who visit his restaurants across the Northwest to give it a go. The cost? Nothing! In a bid to tempt guests to indulge in a vegan meal he offered vegan food for FREE!*
Going forward he has grand plans to make 50% of his menu vegan friendly by 2022.
Olive Tree Brasserie, founder and owner Dean Wilson, said:

I’m ready to lead by example, making considerable eco friendly improvements across my restaurants and educating my team so that they can in turn make positive lifestyle changes.’’
It is clear that Deans sentiments on saving the planet go much further than a simple change of diet. Talking passionately about the subject he explains that other commitments that he has made on behalf of the company include the provision of electric and vegan friendly company cars, an overhaul of chemical, wastage and energy supplies and procedures, providing reusable water bottles for his team and contacting his suppliers in a bid to eradicate single use plastics.
