Although the worlds a little crazy at the minute, Little Voices have continued to stay positive!
With the current circumstances we have been delighted to continue to deliver Performing Arts tuition using our virtual classes throughout every Lockdown! At Little Voices we teach confidence to children through musical theatre, in classes of NO MORE than 8 children- so it’s really helped us enter the online world, without creating any change to pupils lesson format, class sizes, lesson content, lesson day or time!
A child’s well-being, mental health and happiness is the most important thing to us, and so it has been extremely important for us to stay connected with our pupils and keep some kind of normality for them at this confusing time. They are still able to see their class mates, continue their script work, learning songs as well as having a safe space to talk about their feelings. We’re their little bubble away from the confusing world! Children need regular routine right now and parents are having to provide all of the entertainment and learning, as if parents don’t already have enough to do! Its been AMAZING to see their faces light up when they see each other on screen each week.
The weekly lessons are giving children a focus each week, a goal of something to achieve, something to look forward to, a chance to interact with their friends and enjoy some fun and silliness, while taking pressure of parents! Throughout the first lockdown, we were delighted to be awarded the Customer Champion in the Lancashire Business View Awards! We also featured on Sky News, and a few other achievements such as: being awarded Dragons Den, Theo Paphitis, Small Business winner on Twitter, we’ve received support from West End Stars, and featured in BBC Broadcaster’s, Dr Radha, #ideasforisolation campaign!
We are always welcoming new children through our doors and even working closely with schools to provide that well needed music and drama education! 07599709306 Fylde@littlevoices.org.uk
