Plan the rest of the Year
2022 has been a wonderful year, where everything seems back to normal OR in some cases even better!!! More Events and bigger/longer versions, it certainly has been a year to remember and just because its getting colder and the ‘nights are drawing in’ there’s no need to hibernate because there is still lots MORE to come.
Whether you live here or planning visiting for the day, evening or a bit longer this is to help decide what to put in your calendar and if you do it from the Events Calendar you can share it with friends or to your electronic calendar. Sharing is Caring and isn’t technology brilliant!
Only highlighting the main events here, some smaller ones may not be here but will be on the Events Calendar, and then there are some that come up at such short notice, they only get a mention on Social Media, so follow me on Facebook or Twitter for those. Even if not on Twitter you can read my tweets on the Home page of this website.
One of the main focus for activates and entertainment is obviously Lowther Theatre & Gardens, again I have not listed everything here, what I CAN tell you though that there is:- new music & old music, Punk, New Romantic, Jazz, Funk, Soul, Motown and Disco music, Brass Bands, Tribute Acts, Classic Am Dram plays, Musicals, National Theatre LIVE, Comedy, Ballet, Must See Movies (you’d thought you’d missed at the cinema), a Traditional Pantomime (oh yes there is) and there is even going to be a World Record Attempt (Joe Stilgoe 24 November)! I think they have pretty much nailed something for every taste and age, don’t you agree?
There are Craft and Gift Fairs galore on the run up to Christmas and although its great to support the smallest of the small businesses please do also support your ‘high street’ shops that have had a very hard time over the last few years and they are the ones paying rent and rates to
Music everywhere from local bands and performers on almost every Friday & Saturday Night in the bars, pubs and some restaurants across the patch and of course Autumn and Winter is a perfect time for Quiz Nights, the regular weekly ones are all on the Calendar
