Does your town celebrate St Georges Day Festival……….ours does, and BIG STYLE too!
We are in the 10th year of this festival brought about by local business man Dave Haythornthwaite, who has made it his mission to lobby for St George’s Day to be a Bank Holiday and be celebrated in the way that our neighbouring countries celebrate their patron saints.
The St Georges Day Festival team host a variety of events for the whole family across 5 days in April (more for 2018) , from Choir Competition to Film Screenings, Comedy Nights to Tea Dances, Parade to Family Fun day, Golf Days to Black Tie Dinner and lots more besides.
