Staying in hotels, although we have some fabulous ones on the Fylde Coast, can be more formal and less flexible in staying in a home from home, especially if you have kids and even your furry friend can come to!

Recently there has been a name change from Beach Cottage (the house is on Beach Street) to the new The HideAway, one of the reasons being ‘Cottage’ conjured up something small & bijou, which couldn’t be further from what you are getting with this large period home with lots of space for large families or groups of friends but still with a very relaxed and homely ambiance………….oh yes and parking too, with is something of a coup in the area!

Victoria the proud owner of The HideAway in Lytham has decorated it to appeal to a modern family and with inspirational welcome pack and even a movie night hamper. Comfy beds, and seating, and the whole house and garden at your disposal, what more could you need!

Live like a local for the week or a shorter stay, shopping on the high street and eating and drinking at some of Lytham’s fabulous eateries (see more of this Directory for our favourites) and all less than 5 minutes stroll away, as is Lytham Green and Lowther Gardens and Theatre, 10 minutes will get you to Lytham Hall and award winning children’s park, Park View, which the kids will love. ]

Hop in the car, or take public transport up the road to St Annes and miles and miles of beach, the Prom, the Pier, Ashton Gardens and another shopping area, venture away from the main square for small independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Then of course there is Blackpool (approx 20 minutes), the Lake District (1.15 hrs dependent on which part. There are lots of options but maybe just stay and explore locally.
