Shaun O’Meara had an idea, it’s a fabulous idea!


I actually met Shaun and his girlfriend randomly on New Years Eve, when we shared their table in a pub! Who knew our paths would cross several months later. Shaun a Project Manager has worked all over the world, but has taken 6 months away from the Corporate life to concentrate on the launch of the Loyal to Fylde. He is very passionate about getting the scheme off the ground and has full support from Fylde Borough Council.

What exactly is it?

Loyal to Fylde is a Loyalty Programme uniquely designed to benefit the independent retailers, residents of, and the tourists to the Fylde.

Residents and visitors will use the loyalty card or smartphone app to shop locally, but with the advantage of great offers, rewards and discounts from some of your favourites shops, restaurants and take-aways.

The initial launch will go ahead with at least 15 popular businesses.

What’s in it for business owners??

By joining the Programme, they can have the unique benefits of a loyalty scheme with minimal hassle to them!

The Card and App can drive increased footfall during their quieter hours/days by offering incentives tied to the scheme, issue newsletters or offers to specific groups of customers, tailor your offers and gain valuable feedback through our back end systems to name but a few. They offer a platform which can help you attract new customers and retain existing ones.

Expensive to the consumer then??

No, just £1 per month (yes you read that right!)  Just £12 per year (upfront)

Sounds good, which area’s can we use it in?

Initially being launched in Lytham, Ansdell, Fairhaven and St Annes, but the aim is, as it grows to roll out  to other areas of the Fylde, so consumers and businesses can benefit where ever they happen to be, plus in the future the option to recycle back into the community through Charity contributions.

Why now?

In an increasingly competitive and crowded business space, customer loyalty programmes could be what differentiates business from their competitors – and what keeps your customers sticking around.

We all want to see our high streets survive & thrive and as you may know I (Lytham Life and Style) am a big campaigner for shopping local and using small, independent business (Yes I do go on a bit!!)


When is it available?

It is VERY nearly there, the goal was to launch with at least 15 businesses ‘signed up’ and 50 consumers, they have exceeded the number of consumers, but need just two more businesses to be able to GO LIVE.  Several are hovering on the edge, it just needs the commitment of forward thinking business owners, that want to do the very best for their loyal customers with the potential bonus of bringing in new ones too.

How can Business Owners find out more?

Shaun has been visiting business around Lytham, Ansdell, Fairhaven St Annes intensively over the last few weeks, but sometimes it’s difficult to speak to the owners/decision makers, He will set up a meeting with any interested party, but initially they can read more about the scheme here.
