Insanity & PiYo .. reach a new level of fitness

What are your New You goals?

Weight loss, improved toning, better flexibility, increased cardio fitness, strength…..or a combination of them all.

Insanity is perfect for high intensity aerobic exercise and Piyo compliments this with a focus on stretching flexibility and tone.

If you want a quick result (in as little as 60 days) or the BEST for overall fitness in the long term, this really does work. There is a great local buzz around these fitness programmes and a few converts are telling us why………….

Elizabeth

These sessions have helped me immensely to reach my goals physically, and also enabled me to push myself mentally! I have never stuck to one class for this length of time EVER. They are fun, challenging classes and the routine changes every few weeks it constantly keeps me guessing what is coming next! I feel fitter, stronger, and leaner than I remember myself being even as a teenager. I am more toned and able to focus better generally on a day-to-day basis much more efficiently mentally!
The results of the hard work keep me attending. Less than 2 yrs. ago I weighed 70kg, I now weigh 53kg. I have maintained this new weight now for a period of a few months. I have lost 4 inches off my hips 37” down to a 33” and 6 inches off my waist 32” down to 26.5”
My resting heart rate was about 72 before I started it is now around 53-55 beats per minute at rest. My blood pressure is low, healthy for keeping risks of potential life threatening problems at a low level. I am back to my weight when I was 20 but I am much fitter now!
After a few months of Insanity because of the increased cardio fitness, I was able to swim faster and for longer periods and run faster and for longer periods.
I visited a local cardiologist and told him about the type of exercise I was doing and was/is addicted to. I was so reassured that he highly recommended this type of class for optimum health/fitness regularly at least three times a week with moderate/slower activity in between sessions. For me it is hopefully a safe guard that I am doing my best for my body to stay well and healthy responsibly.
I would not have attended, carried on or achieved these results without the leadership of our teacher Mark Evans who keeps the classes’ very challenging, varied, and stimulating.

I’m a regular runner, so had a reasonable level of fitness. They not only helped me with my overall fitness levels, enabling me to run longer distances in quicker times, but I also noticed my body starting to tone up and  develop muscle definition. I was not only losing pounds but inches, which was a great confidence boost. I have recently combined Insanity with Piyo. Although not as high intensity, Piyo is still challenging, focusing on toning and strengthening rather than a full on cadio session. The two classes really compliment each other and make for a great overall work out. The classes are SO enjoyable as they are relaxed, informal and people of all fitness levels attend. Mark both motivates and instructs, enabling people to work at their own pace and ability. We all tend to drag each other along and the atmosphere is both friendly and fun.

I have greatly benefited from attending these classes and feel fitter now than I have in a long time. I’d definitely recommend giving them a go, whether you train regularly or are looking to start something new.

Preston Family

Dad and Mum aged 48, and three daughters 22, 13 and 12

Everyone wants their children to lead healthy active lifestyles and this gives that opportunity for all. The classes are varied and tailored to everyone’s needs so you don’t feel under pressure or out of your depth, if there is a particular move you can’t do, there is always a modifier. Where else does that happen that a whole family can attend a regular class. Children used to be an excuse not to go to the gym or exercise but now there are no excuses as the kids can join you.

What is Insanity?

Max interval training has you work as hard as you can for 3-minute intervals, with 30-second periods of rest in between. According to theInsanity web site, exercising at this extreme intensity level will help you burn up to 1,000 calories an hour.

What is PiYo

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting, core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. And, we crank up the speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean, and incredibly defined.

Mark (Evans) is the highly motivating instructor of the local sessions, plus  there is a great class community on Social Media so if you have ANY questions what so ever contact him via links below
