DESCRIPTION:Outdoor Theatre Season at Lytham Hall \nThe 2026  programme promises another magical summer of open-air entertainment\, where world-class theatre meets one of Lancashire’s most beautiful historic settings. \nSet against the stunning backdrop of the Georgian Hall and its picturesque parkland\, audiences are invited to pack a picnic\, bring a blanket or folding chair\, and settle in for an unforgettable evening beneath the open sky. Whether you’re a lifelong theatre lover or simply looking for a unique summer experience\, Lytham Hall’s outdoor productions offer the perfect blend of culture\, nature and atmosphere. Gates open from 4pm\, giving visitors plenty of time to enjoy the surroundings before performances begin at 6pm. Free parking\, refreshments and a licensed bar complete the experience. \nThe 2026 programme could be one of the strongest yet\, featuring a mix of Shakespearean classics\, literary favourites\, swashbuckling adventure\, musical comedy and family entertainment: \n\nA Midsummer Night’s Dream (16–21 June) – A special promenade production where the audience follows the action through six beautiful locations around the parkland\, opening the Hall’s 17th outdoor theatre season.\nPickwick Papers (10 July) – Rain or Shine Theatre brings Charles Dickens’ colourful and comic masterpiece to life.\nRomeo & Juliet (17 July) – The acclaimed Duke’s Theatre Company returns with Shakespeare’ timeless tragedy of love and rivalry\nThe Three Musketeers (7 August) – Illyria Theatre delivers Alexandre Dumas’ classic adventure packed with sword fights\, humour and romance.\nThe Pirates of Penzance (9 August) – Gilbert and Sullivan’s much-loved comic opera performed with Illyria’s trademark wit and exceptional musicianship.\nPinocchio (16 August) – A delightful family production full of fun\, imagination and heart\, with reserved seating at the front for younger audience members.\nMore than simply watching a play\, an evening at Lytham Hall is about soaking up the atmosphere.
