DESCRIPTION:Kick off the Lytham 1940’s weekend in style with An Evening of Swing with Blue Skies! Step back in time and enjoy a night of timeless tunes\, live music and vintage glamour.  Whether you’re dancing the night away or simply soaking up the atmosphere\, this is the perfect start to a fun-filled weekend! Minimum £5 donation on the door. All monies raised goes to Blue Skies\, your local NHS charity. Hosted by Jane Dean with many fabulous guests (see poster)  \nJoin us for our Razzle Dazzle dance party to celebrate the start of Lytham’s 1940’s weekend. We will be playing music from the 1920’s through the decades – Jive\, Lindy\, Sequence\, Ballroom and strolls.Tickets £10 in advance. DESCRIPTION:The entertainment marquee situated on Lytham Green has two days of free entertainment from 10am to 5pm each day. The line up features Derek Herbert  Winston Churchill’s rousing wartime speeches\, Colin Bourdiec with the music of both ENSA and Lancashire’s George Formby who lived close by to Lytham\, there’s Johnny Victory and making their Lytham return for their third full weekend appearance the Bluebirds UK and Lancashire Belle (Saturday only).  Making her Lytham debut will be Helen Farrell.  There will be a licensed forties bar in the main marquee. \nHighlights Include:– Live music and dance performances throughout the weekend– Military and civilian vehicle displays– 1940s fashion shows and best-dressed competitions– Vintage market and trade stalls– Traditional tea dances– Children’s entertainment and activities– Historical re-enactments and living history displays– Period food and refreshments\n\nHere is the schedule\n\n\nWhat’s More\, it’s Free Entry – All welcome!\n\nPleased as again this year\,  it’s all inclusive with  Carol and Tony from sponsors Co Sign on both days.  They offer up BSL (British Sign Language) on the main stage and this has become a popular and welcome addition to the event.  (Please note they will not be appearing in the evenings – daytime only).
