St Annes-on-Sea Parish Church, built in 1873, was one of the first buildings in the new town of St Annes and gave the town its name. In 1890 the tower was added and fitted with a fine peal of 8 bells, which ring out every Sunday. Our facilities have recently been augmented by the provision of the latest state of the art equipment for the training of bellringers. Heritage Open Day provides a rare opportunity to visit the bell tower to see our bells and training equipment in use and to try your hand at bellringing. There is also the opportunity to view our fine church with its WW1 Memorial Chapel and to see the famous St Annes Heritage Mural, which tells the story of St Annes–on-Sea from 1973 to the present day.
